Knightless Realm

Summary

A new kingdom in the Dark World has risen, and for some time, the land was at peace. As time progressed, however, the peace began to be disturbed. A desire for power was growing immensely in the souls of many of Lorule’s subjects.

Hilda, Lorule's princess, started to become concerned about the strange nature of her subjects and feared things may get worse. Her fears turned true when the spirit of the hero approached her one day. Ravio, now a ghost of his former self, exclaimed that numerous forces that are after the Triforce are becoming stronger than she realizes because each opposing region has a Sage that is rising to power. He has seen this first hand as a mere soldier on the battle field, protecting Lorule before he was defeated.

Ravio and Hilda create a plan to reclaim the Master Sword that Ravio lost in battle and then go to each corner of the land and destroy each sage in order to stop them from trying to get to the Triforce.

Characters

Princess Hilda of Lorule, the First to her name, sees herself to realize an impossible feat of strength in order to maintain and save her kingdom from falling into dark temptation. To do that, however, she finds she'll need to trust the only one capable of wielding the Master Sword, she must use all knowledge available and do what's right for her people, to break through her stubbornness and allow to be helped. Known for her wits, her glooming aura, and the thousand-pound burden that she willingly carries on her shoulders, the Princess rules over a divided kingdom with a fragile rein. With each rebelling Sage, her weaknesses are put to the test and everything she thought she knew comes crumbling down when her resolve cracks under the glowing light of the Triforce. To resist such power... was she even strong enough?

Once a young soldier of Lorule, Ravio died on the battlefield at the hands of the Zora. Upon becoming a spirit, he discovered sages awakening across the land that each desire to capture Hilda in order to use her to get to the Triforce. Ravio, now as a spirit, goes to warn his princess and offer his assistance. Ravio, being the mirrored version of Hyrule’s hero, is rather lazy and not a great fighter. Although he was the one to come to Hilda’s aid, Ravio tends to be snarky and pushes Hilda to do most of the work herself, saying he is “only here for when [Hilda] seriously needs [his] help."

Raga and Luxooru are two of the Dark World sages that Hilda and Ravio must face. The sages in this realm have grown such a strong desire for power that they have become monstrous. Raga, the sage of shadow, resembles wrath in her monster form. Luxooru, the sage of spirit, resembles greed. The rest of the sages also resemble a deadly sin that Ganon has envisioned them as in this realm:

Desirute (Water Sage) resembles lust.

Devorun (Fire Sage) resembles gluttony.

Sorioth (Forest Sage) resembles sloth.

Serpu (Light Sage) resembles envy.

Ending

Hilda, with Ravio's help, successfully kills the six sages, one by one. After they are all defeated, Ravio turns on Hilda. He states that only one sage is left, and that is Hilda herself. He believes she will soon awaken and become a beast that desires the power of the Triforce, just like the other sages did. We learn that Ravio had plans to end Hilda’s life since the beginning of their journey, but he needed her help to also end the lives of the other sages who had already awoken.

After Ravio is defeated, Hilda admits that she feels a lust for the Triforce slowly growing within her, and that Ravio may be right about her eventually awakening into something she can't control. She and Ravio then agree to destroy the Triforce together so that there is no sacred power left for anyone to desire.
